Careers
The administrative staff plays an important support role at Horvitz & Levy and is composed of managerial staff, legal assistants, paralegals, and office services support. A majority of the firm’s legal assistants and paralegals have been employed with the firm for more than ten years and are extremely knowledgeable in appellate procedure. This experience contributes to the firm’s ability to provide a high quality of work and client service.
Candidates must have high academic credentials, excellent writing, grammar, computer, and organizational skills, a team-oriented attitude, and professional demeanor. For some positions, prior litigation experience is required.
The firm offers a supportive atmosphere with a team approach. Legal assistants generally work with two or three attorneys and as back-up for two or three other attorneys. They are also responsible for other administrative assignments and projects consistent with the firm’s needs and the legal assistant’s interests and skills.
The firm offers a wide range of benefits, including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401(k) and profit sharing plans, parking, paid parental and personal leave, and a merit-based bonus and compensation system.
We seek candidates who will contribute to the firm’s success, regardless of their race, color, national origin, ancestry, religion, gender and gender identity, gender expression, age, veteran status, disability, citizenship, marital status, sexual orientation, or any other status as defined and protected by law.
Because Horvitz & Levy has enjoyed a long-tenured and stable staff team, positions are not often available. However, qualified candidates are invited to submit resumes to the firm’s Human Resources Director. If you are interested in submitting a resume by email, please send it to hiring@horvitzlevy.com.
